Matt Lauer - acoustic guitar, vocals
Born and raised in the fine land of
Cincinntucky, Ohio, Matt got more than his fair share
of homegrown redneck noise during his formidable
years. This, combined with the fallout from the nearby
nuclear power plant, have been the two biggest
influences on his acoustic guitar playing. After
three years on the road with the now "de-funked" Emmet
Otter's Jug Band Explosion, he settled in Chicago
where he quickly realized that hot licks and cold
weather do not go together. After lighting up the
Chicago underground scene for a couple of years
(underground subway that is), he packed up his
belongings and headed for the promised land of
Northern California where he has started his latest
work: world domination via acoustic music. The plans
are slow-going but the ride has been great.
